This is your brain....

Finally, a marriage book based on facts! I typically stay away from marriage books because they are typically written in a subjective fashion. I am high feelings person & live in the subjective spot most days, but when I need help, I don't look to other feely types, I look for objective thinkers. In marriage books & speakers, Dr. Earl Henslin gets a gold star for bringing the objective work of science in a easy to read & apply to life format.

There are many types of lovers out there. I happen to fall into the scattered lover category. Within the scattered lover category, he describes many types of scattered people & what makes them biologically scattered. I cried tears of relief when I read why I struggle so hard with marriage. It is more than just the damn hardest job on the planet, but add in that you are struggling each day with your physical DNA inside your head, the job is twice as hard.

Also, within the book, he lists several resources. I have not checked out the plethora of information, but I am glad it is there as a confessed nerd junkie. The other resource he offers is a special focus to slow down & not apply it all at once. Rather read this section ONLY & don't move forward in the book until you believe you are ready. After 3 weeks at part 1, I am ready to consider moving on in the material. My marriage has a place of peace that has not been present for a while.
